  • Twisted Floating Walkway and Decking Restoration on The Point

    The Point neighborhood in Mooresville is home to many beautiful lakefront houses, and many if not all of those homes have docks and/or boat slips. This particular customer from The Point was working hard to earn their sea legs with an unbalanced floating walkway that would not sit level in the water. We sometimes refer to this problem as “twisted finger” walkway. No matter what you call it, Dock Services was able to restore the walkway to proper balance and height above water, as well as renovate the decking as needed.

  • Clean and Stain Your Dock for Great Results on a Budget

Dock Services designed and built a handsome handrail, rebuilt the gangway handrail to match, and installed rope guides to manage the transition from pier to gangway.     As you can see from the photos below, all areas of this deck were in need of new lumber. Some dock construction companies would have convinced the homeowner that a total rebuild was necessary (and judging by the state of the walkway it would be easy to believe), but Dock Services performed a careful evaluation of the overall structure and determined that only a renovation was required. With new lumber and a fabricated gangway, the impact is like new, at a fraction of the cost.
